August Kickoff Unit
Popcorn Sales Program. An
enthusiastic Popcorn Committee sets the stage for a successful sales year by hosting an equally enthusiastic Popcorn Kickoff. Take-order
forms are distributed and the units’ prize program is explained. It is critical that new Scouts and their families understand
how the unit conducts its popcorn sale and the benefits of their participation.
1 August Pick-up
popcorn products from Council Service Center. Units may use this product for Show N Sell, pre-distribution to Scouts so that they
may deliver take-orders immediately, distributing to Scouts for filling take-orders, or any combination of the three. Some
products are not returnable.
The
maximum amount of popcorn at retail value that can be checked out by any unit is $15,000. You will have to pay your bill to
enable your unit to receive more products.
September All new families in Scouting receive their popcorn order forms
as well as copies of your unit
program and budget.
3 November All
Show N Sales products reconciled. If the unit has completed its sale, return leftover popcorn. If the unit sale is still in progress, send an inventory of unit stock to lboyce@bsamail.org and keep on selling. Include a date the unit will wrap up the sale.
1 December Final Order
date. Any product ordered
on this date will be received at the service center December 17. The money for this last take order is due at the time of
order.
1 December Deadline for
all popcorn monies. All products
must be paid for by this date.
1 December Submit final paperwork
for prizes. No guarantees
will be made for fulfilling prizes
requested after this date.
