1. In Three
Rivers you are the contact person for your unit for the popcorn sale.
That means you are the person that I will be in touch with to pass along information. You
are the person responsible for your unit following sale policies.
2. Your responsibilities in your
unit should be:
A. Popcorn and prize pick up. ONLY you and your assistant should be picking up popcorn
from Council. Make this VERY clear
to your unit adults.
B. Keeping track of inventory and sales. You need to know how many products you have to fill orders and the amount individual
Scouts have sold for the prize reports.{This means that you keep copies of all check out and return forms, you get a copy
of or transfer Take Order forms, you have the table sale tracking.}
C. Sale training and set up. You
are the one to make sure that sale table times are filled and that everyone follows the rules.
D. The information person, you are the one
that is going to be asked questions about sale stats, and prize stats. You are
going to be the one picking up and giving out the prizes.
If you are not already you have just
become a Unit Leader. This may be temporary but for the popcorn sale you are
the Popcorn Leader. If you have not done so already it would be to your advantage to take the online Youth Protection Training.
You have the responsibility of paper work, training, and supervising the youth. Your
position is just as important to the unit as the Outing Chair, or Senior Patrol Leader.
After all with out you they will not have the funds for their outings. Make it very clear during the planing of meetings
that you need time set aside to do business with the Scouts, and Parents, at EVERY meeting during the popcorn sale.
