The Leadership Positions accepted toward advancement, and what the Popcorn Coach positions has in common with them.

As a Popcorn Coach you will have the responsibilities of more than one recognized leadership position: 

 

ª    ASPL: Making sure rules are followed.  Set up locations and fill rosters for show & sells.  Give progress reports to the Troop.  Present sale recognition. 

ª    Troop Guide: Teach Scouts popcorn sale operation.  Counsel Scouts as a group or individually on sale challenges. 

 

ª    Quartermaster: Tracking popcorn inventory; handing out inventory for individual Take Order sales, monitor inventory out and returned for Show and Sell tables.

 

ª    Scribe: Recording Scout sales and progress toward prizes.  Record Troops money earned and owed. 

 

ª    Treasurer: (Venturing) Tracking and handling money received for the popcorn sales, tracking and insuring payment due on invoices are paid promptly, following up on Scouts who owe outstanding money for popcorn checked out.

 

A case can be made to your Scout Master and Committee to recognize this as a Leadership position.  It is however up to them to recognize it.
